Harishchandragad Fort Trek
Climbing the third highest peak in Maharashtra can be physically daunting, especially when you consider its approximately 80 degree ascent to a cliff that looks like a cobras hood. One of the most challenging treks in Western Ghats, this route to the ancient hill fort of Harishchandragad is visually rewarding. It take you through a rocky gorge to the Konkan Kada, a vertical overhang with a concave fall of 1423 m, which provides panoramic views of the surrounding green hills shrouded in monsoon mist and clouds.
